Uber bosses are mechanically difficult and intensive. There's a lot of shit that can one shot you and you must be constantly paying attention.Uber levels are a significant gear check and even then you can't just stay in a place and expect not to die, no matter how much defense / life / dr u have. Some uber levels have serious debuffs and one shots as well. Also, there's an uber level that is so long it took me an entire day to finish it and if you don't use portals, you have to walk all the distance (and it can be almost impossible without your corpse since it's a maze).I see they removed the need to recover your corpse after you die, so that makes the endgame significantly easier.But median xl is hard for everyone, not just newcomers to diablo 2. It's mostly a very different game altogether and the only things helping you if you're a d2 veteran is probably knowing how to walk / attack. That's it.

I played it for a couple hours so far. The mod either wants you to get to the end game quick or i just got really lucky with drops. The speed of the game is definitly ramped up in terms of running faster and overall leveling up. Item drops are a lot higher as well.The game is much different from the original. What i remember from the original was it was very unforgiving when starting out. You really needed to work on your character and do everything in order to contend with certain bosses you encountered. Median XL has some overpowered skills that carry you through a lot of the content.
